Clean books make filing simple.
Monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations and management reporting that feed straight into your tax returns. We tailor the engagement to your records, filing deadlines, accounting system and agreed scope.
Bookkeeping that holds up at filing time
Bookkeeping in the UAE is no longer just good practice. Corporate Tax and VAT both require records that can support the figures you file, and both assume those records exist in an organised form. A set of books that is reconstructed once a year from a folder of receipts will produce a return, but it will not produce one anybody wants to defend.
We maintain the books month by month, in the software your team already uses, so the numbers you look at during the year are the same numbers your returns are built from.
What is included
- Recording of sales, purchases, expenses and journals on a monthly cycle
- Bank and credit card reconciliation for every account
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers, with ageing
- Fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
- VAT-ready coding as transactions are posted, not at quarter end
- Monthly management reports: profit and loss, balance sheet, cash position
- Year-end pack prepared for your auditor or for the Corporate Tax computation
We work in your software
QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, Sage, Odoo or Excel. There is no migration requirement and no proprietary system to learn. If you have no system yet, we will recommend one that fits the size and shape of your business rather than the one that pays the best commission.
Catch-up work
Plenty of businesses come to us with books that are months or years behind, often because a deadline has forced the issue. This is normal and it is fixable. We scope the backlog first so you know the cost before we start, work through it period by period, then move you onto a monthly cycle so the gap does not reopen.
Reporting you will actually read
A trial balance is not a management report. Each month you get a short pack that answers the questions an owner actually asks: what did we make, what is owed to us, what do we owe, and what is the cash position going into next month. If something moved unusually, it is flagged rather than left for you to find.
How the engagement works
1. Assess
We look at your current records, software and reporting, and agree what the monthly cycle will cover.
2. Bring current
Any backlog is cleared and prior periods are reconciled so the opening position is sound.
3. Maintain
Books are closed monthly on a fixed timetable, with reporting delivered on the same schedule.
Clean books are what make Corporate Tax filing and VAT returns quick, and what make audit support straightforward. Talk to us about where your records stand.
What do I need to provide?
Tick these off before we start. If something is missing, say so rather than delaying, and we will work out how to proceed without it.
Not every item applies to every business. We confirm the exact list after reviewing your licence and records.
