How we handle your documents
Tax and accounting work involves your bank statements, invoices, payroll records and licence documents. This page sets out how that material is handled. It describes our practice, not a certification, and we do not make claims about security standards we have not been independently assessed against.
How documents reach us
The channel is agreed at the start of an engagement, and we will tell you exactly what to send and in what form. We do not ask for documents through this website before an engagement is agreed, and we do not ask you to email complete document sets unprompted.
What we will never ask for
We will never ask for your online banking password, a one-time passcode, your card PIN, or your EmaraTax login password. Nobody legitimately needs those to prepare or file a return. If you receive such a request appearing to come from us, do not act on it and contact us directly using the details on the contact page.
Access
Client records are accessible to the people working on your engagement. Where we work inside your own accounting system, we ask for the minimum level of access the work requires rather than full administrative rights, and access is removed when an engagement ends.
Transmission and storage
This website is served over HTTPS, so information submitted through the enquiry form is encrypted in transit. Working files are held with established business software and hosting providers rather than on personal devices.
Retention
UAE tax and accounting records carry minimum retention periods, and for certain real estate records those periods are longer. We retain engagement records accordingly, so that a filed position can still be supported if it is queried years later. Enquiries that do not become engagements are not kept indefinitely.
If something goes wrong
If we become aware of an incident affecting your information, we will tell you what happened, what was affected and what we are doing about it. See also our privacy policy.
